THE PROJECT THE WHOLE WORLD WILL BE TALKING ABOUT
It
will rise on a majestic hill between Agira and Regalbuto with a breathtaking
view of Mount Etna as backdrop. The "Miniworld" project aims
at defeating unemployment that is escalating in our area. The province
of Enna, due to its poverty level, has been classified the "Tail
Light" amongst all other italian provincies and if initiatives are
not undertaken towards the creation of new jobs, the locals will be forced
to migrate to other countries in search of new occupaction
The
project foresees the realisation of works in reduced scale of 1:25, representing
some of World Capital's monuments. Trough a maze of walkways and trails,
tourists can admire the world in miniature, yet in high-fidelity reprodduction.
Designed in a spiralling trail, one can virtually see the world. There
will be Europe, with particular highlights of Italy and Sicily and its
rural insland. Canadà there will be represented too in memory of
the soldiers killed during the second world war and here burried in the
Canadian cemetery in the territory of Agira.
Such
a poject could become a leading element, as well as promotion for other
activities that already exist in the area. It is therefore obvious that
only through togetherness and determination that such valid dream could
eventuate. It aims at generating a mechanism of tourist-economical development
of our territory, a potential for promotion, a re-proposal for activities
already existing for the safeguard of the area and primarily, for the
creation of approximately 1,000 jobs, including service personnel.
Only
by creating a link between such a project of re-qualifying and transforming
the environment and the locals, will it be possible to achieve the objective
and make it grow. Other significant aspects in favour of the building
the "Miniworld", is the vicinity to all amenities and the easy
access through a network of roads that in the future can also be improved
in terms of comfort and safety. The focus of the project is mainly to
promote the cultural-tourist aspect of the otherwise poor area and easy
access to world-wide tourism.
